Bolawrinwa A. Ajanaku, Ph.D.

Dr. Ajanaku has graduate academic training and over 12 years of professional experience in consulting, academia, and public and private sectors. Dr. Ajanaku’s areas of expertise and research interest include energy economics, wholesale electricity markets, renewable energy policies, financial analysis, environmental and natural resource economics, applied econometrics, forecasting, microeconomic applications, and spatial analysis. Prior to joining Exeter, Dr. Ajanaku was involved in multiple projects within the energy market modeling and analysis team at Guidehouse. He used a suite of power-market models and advanced econometric approaches to forecast the wholesale power market on energy, natural gas, and ancillary services prices. Before Guidehouse, Dr. Ajanaku was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Colby College, teaching energy, environmental, and natural resource economics courses and Principles of Microeconomics. Dr. Ajanaku’s research work has been featured in top journals, including The Electricity Journal, Renewable Energy, and Forest Policy and Economics.

Dr. Ajanaku holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Applied Economics from West Virginia University and a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.
