Exeter Associates, Inc., an economics consulting firm located in Columbia, Maryland, is seeking to supplement its team with an experienced utility industry professional capable of providing high quality consulting support for our clients.
We are interested in candidates with a graduate degree and six or more years of experience, or an equivalent background, that can demonstrate the ability to undertake challenging assignments analyzing and developing strategies to address electric, gas, and water utility filings. A good understanding of class cost of service and rate design, revenue requirements, and a variety of other utility cost recovery mechanisms, including performance-based regulation, would allow this candidate to immediately contribute to our team’s success on these assignments.
Additional responsibilities will likely include the preparation of reports and the development of guidance for clients on a variety of utility industry issues, including policy analysis, electricity and natural gas procurement, utility infrastructure, cost control, energy savings programs, and renewable energy.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, and experience preparing reports and testifying before state or federal regulatory agencies is desirable, as we consider both to be important to delivering high quality consulting services to our clients.
